The StromPi 2 Expansion Board is the latest development from the popular StromPi 1. Not only has the voltage range been increased to 6 to 61 V in order to connect larger/multiple batteries or power supplies for example, the StromPi 2 board now also provides up to 3A of power to be able to supply even larger projects with enough power. It also now includes a reset function for the Raspberry Pi, which cleverly expands the UPS function of the StromPi 2 .

With the new super-flat design and connection, the StromPi2 fits into many enclosures and new areas of application. The StromPi 2 allows your Raspberry-Pi to connect any voltage source with a voltage range of 6 - 61 V, to open up more opportunities for you to use Raspberry Pi (car, boat, trucks, industrial plant, etc.). What's more, the USB outputs on the Raspberry Pi can optionally be upgraded to a high-power USB connection so power-intensive devices like USB hard drives can be used without restrictions.

The integrated UPS function allows you to secure critical applications against power failure. The Raspberry Pi software monitors the UPS function and can send various messages if there is a failure, e.g. by email. The efficient switching regulator solution used also enables the Raspberry Pi to be used on the go with a battery. Meaningful expansion of the UPS mode: After the Raspberry Pi in has been safely shut down by the StromPi following a power failure, the Raspberry Pi's new reset function automatically restarts when the main power supply is available again.
